Born and raised in Haiti, Ivens immigrated to the US in his late 20s with a passion for logistics and a love for the open road. Starting as an expedited straight truck driver in Chicago, Ivens progressed to become an OTR semi-truck driver, gaining hands-on experience in Dry van, reefer, and flatbed operations. His journey from company driver to owner-operator with Plaisir Logistics exposed him to the challenges carriers and shippers face.

Engaging daily with brokers and shippers during his carrier days, Ivens empathized with their concerns. Witnessing the gap between their needs and available solutions, he founded Vens Plai Logistics to create a transportation company that genuinely understands and addresses both sides of the logistics equation – a company rooted in real-world experience poised to revolutionize freight management. 

From there, he spent 5 years bringing truckers and owner-operators he personally knows and trusts together from his journey as a driver to form an exclusive network of carriers, capable of shipping your goods nationwide.
